Warren Allen Ross
Dallas, Georgia

Warren Allen Ross, age 56, of Dallas, Georgia, passed away Wednesday, April 19, at Emory University Hospital from a battle with congestive heart failure.

He was born on May 19, 1960, in Alabaster, to the late Timothy Allen and Shirley Faye (Davenport) Ross. He attended school in Cobb County and graduated from Pebblebrook High School in 1978. He worked with Colonial Bread and General Wholesale before starting his own business, Hy-Tek Amusements in 1987.

Warren was an avid Atlanta Falcons fan, holding season tickets for 20 plus years. He spent time enjoying water sports at Lake Wedowee, Lake Allatoona, and PCB. He also took many trips, including cruises, where he always planned the excursions. Unfortunately, he did not get to swim with the whale sharks!

Warren loved his family and friends and would do anything to help as needed. He was the family jokester and had the unique ability to “counsel” family and friends without a license and/or proper credentialing. He truly was “one of a Kind”

Survivors include his wife of 13 years, Chandra Ross of Dallas, Georgia; children, Amy and Jeremy McWhorter of Temple, Georgia, Kelly and Matt Henry of Bremen, Georgia, Tara and Justin Sims of Valdosta, Georgia, Jeffrey Harris of Kennesaw, Georgia, and Wesley Chaney of Kennesaw, Georgia; sister, Sheila Ross of Dallas, Georgia; grandchildren, Zoe Freeman, Jada McWhorter, Willow Jiles and Aubree Sims; several nieces and nephews; and also two four-legged pups, Reese and Lucy.

Funeral services were held Sunday, April 23 at 3 p.m., from Clark Funeral Home. Interment followed in Rose Hill Cemetery. Jeremy McWhorter, Matt Henry, Jeffrey Harris, Wesley Chaney, Justin Sims and Chase Sims served as pallbearers. The family received friends at the funeral home on Saturday, April 22 from 4-8 p.m.
