Mary Walton, age 81, of Calera, passed away Tuesday, May 2.

She was a member of the First Free Will Baptist Church in Sylacauga and loved to go camping in Cades Cove in the Smokey Mountain National Park, Tennessee.

She was predeceased by her parents, Ben and Novis Tate; sister, Vergie Washington; and grandson, Ronald “Cary” Walton, Jr.

Her survivors include her husband of 63 years, Gary Walton; children, Ricky Walton, Ron Walton, Sr. (Pam) and Debra Landers (Ronnie); sister, Brenda Presley (Ronald); grandchildren, Chris Walton (Christy), Phillip Landers (girlfriend, Ashley Green), Rebecca Marley (Tim) and Amelia Landers; and great grandchildren, Hannah,

Abigail, Cara, Aiden, Khloe and Shaddox.

A visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m., Thursday, May 4 at Charter Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, May 5 at Charter Funeral Home.
