MT LAUREL – After three successful years of selling clothing and other novelty items for babies, toddlers and children, Favorite Laundry in Mt Laurel will close its doors on May 15.

“We have had such a loyal customer base since we opened and we have loved our time here, but the next wave of shopping is going online it seems,” store owner Kim Anderson said. “We made the decision to go solely online and shut our doors because it is the way people are shopping now. People are busy, and they like the convenience of being able to shop online, so we are hoping to cater to that.”

Anderson said the store’s Favorite Laundry brand will be available online later this summer including personalized T-shirts bearing the Favorite Laundry label, which can be personalized with monogramming and appliques.

“We are planning to add more items as we go forward,” Anderson said. “We are currently in the process of building our website, and as we dive more into the online world, we will offer more items for our customers.”

Although the store’s website is under construction, Anderson encourages store customers to follow the store’s shift online on their Facebook page.

“We have a very loyal following on Facebook, and we will be updating as much as possible so everyone knows where to find us,” Anderson said. “We will try to keep everyone in the loop as we go.”

In the meantime, the store is offering clearing out sales until May 15 including many items available for 50-60 percent off.

“We plan to officially close our doors in Mt Laurel on May 15,” Anderson said. “There will be special promotions on certain days leading up to that, which people can follow on Facebook.”

The store offered clothing items such as Mustard Pie, Jak and Peppar, Emerald August, Lyda Baby and Feather Baby.

“Our customers have been nothing but good and kind to us,” Anderson said. “They have been sad to see us go, but at the same time they are excited about our next adventure online. We will definitely miss seeing everyone and interacting with everyone coming into the store. I have seen a lot of kids grow up throughout the time we have been open and I have loved being able to help dress them in clothes, but we are also really excited about what is to come.”

Favorite Laundry is currently located at 100 Croft Street in the Mt Laurel town center.
