13 Jaguars sign to play sports in college

HOOVER – Thirteen Spain Park High School seniors on Wednesday, May 17, announced their intentions to continue athletic careers at the next level.

A signing ceremony was held in the school’s competition gym for the athletes, with family and friends attending the ceremony and a reception afterward.

The event followed the April 12 initial signing date for many sports.

“We want to be able to honor all of our athletes,” SPHS Athletic Director Patrick Kellogg said. “They’ve worked hard in the classroom. They’ve worked hard in their respective sport. They deserve to have their moment.”

The signees were for nine sports, with football’s four signees the most for any single sport.

There were also multiple signees in track and field, baseball and lacrosse.

Signees included:

•Liam Condone, soccer, University of West Alabama

•Spencer Graham, baseball, Bevill State Community College

•Hunter Howell, football, Samford University

•Thomas Jordan, football and track and field, Centre College

•Morgan Lambert, cheerleading, Mississippi State University

•Karlee Moss, volleyball, Brenau University

•Will Mullins, football, Gardner-Webb University

•Ryan Shea, lacrosse, University of Montevallo

•Timothy O’Shea, lacrosse, University of Montevallo

•Lily Pudlik, cross country and track and field, Millsaps College

•Jacob Rich, baseball, Snead State Community College

•Damon Wright, football and track and field, Mississippi College
