Shelby County Schools hosting specialty enrichment summer camps

The Shelby County Schools Community Education Program is hosting a variety of different specialty enrichment camps at locations this summer throughout Shelby County.

The specialty enrichment camps are in addition to traditional full-day summer camps, which will be offered at Calera Elementary, Helena Intermediate, Forest Oaks Elementary and Oak Mountain Intermediate.

Fees vary dependent on the classes being offered.

The classes are open to students who are zoned for Shelby County Schools and may be limited to certain ages or grade spans.

Below is a listing of the following schools, programs and times of summer enrichment programs that will be offered:

Helena Elementary School

–Camp X-Stream with Heather Posey and Pam Clay–June 10-16 or July 10-14.

–Art Camp with Alice Lobell–June 12-16

–Art Camp with Melanie Henderson–June 5-9

–Creation Station Technology Camp with Jenni Shackelford–June 5-9

Helena Intermediate

–Camp Build with Amanda Milller–June 19-22

–Camp Code with Shelli Abernathy–June 19-22

–Reading and Math with Sarah Hopper and Julie Summerall–June 26-30

Inverness Elementary

–Inverness Stem with Shannon Williamson and Kerri Bennefield–June 5-8

–Math Enrichment with Shannon Williamson and Kerri Bennefield–July 10-13

–Inverness Stem with Shannon Williamson and Kerri Bennefield–July 10-13

Mt. Laurel Elementary

–Doll it up with Leigh McLemore and JoBeth Robbins–June 19-23

–Summer Singers with Haley Spates–June 5-9 and June 26-30

Oak Mountain Elementary

–Art Camp with Carol Popwell–July 10-14 and July 17–21

–STEAM Summer Enrichment with Kate Patrick and Sara Askew– July 10-14

–OMES Kindergarten Camp with Melanie Fitzmorris, Amanda Johnson and Jennifer Slovensky– June 13-15, June 20-22, June 27-29 and July 11-13

Oak Mountain Intermediate
