Sarah Ann Clayton Reeves, age 84, of Shelby, passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends on Monday, Aug. 7.

The visitation will be from 5-7 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 9 at Bolton Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m., Thursday, Aug. 10 at the funeral home with Pastor Darryl Fuller officiating. Burial will follow at Pinelawn Gardens.

Bolton Funeral Home is directing.

Ann was born on Dec. 3, 1932 to Ruby Irene Clayton and James Davis Clayton in Tupelo, Mississippi. Ann married the love of her life, Hubert Brooks Reeves, Jr. on May 10, 1952. They celebrated 62 years of joyful marriage before Hubert passed away in November 2014. She was a long-time member of the South Columbiana Church of Christ.

Mrs. Reeves is preceded in death by her husband, Hubert Brooks Reeves, Jr.; sisters, Irene Clayton Crawford and Faye Clayton Long; brother, James Douglas Clayton; and grandchild, Gabriel Titus Hunt.

She is survived by her brother, Sidney Lamar Clayton; sister-in-law, Sandy Clayton; children, David Glynn Reeves (Jan Rochette Reeves); Debbie Reeves Lanphear (David Alan Lanphear), George Daniel Reeves (Stephanie Underwood Reeves), and Beth Reeves Fuller (Darryl Wayne Fuller); honorary son, Lennis “Bubba” Caudill; grandchildren, Michael Hunt, Jr. (Pippa Thurman Hunt), Jason Reeves, Josh Reeves, Heather Reeves Whaley (Aaron), Jessica Reeves Bond (Keith), Nathan Hunt, Chris Reeves, Ben Fuller (Jennifer Barbero Fuller), Amelia Vinson Reeves, and Sarah Brooke Fuller; great grandchildren, Gabriel Ellis Hunt, Titus Hunt, Ezra Hunt, Rachael Reeves, Brianna Reeves, Zachary Reeves, Hannah Hunt, Patton Hunt, Avi Whaley and Christian Reeves; nieces and nephews, Lee Clayton (Monica), Laura Clayton, Clayton Crawford (Kathy), Don Crawford (Bethanne), and Kay Crawford; and numerous loving friends and brothers and sisters in Christ.

Ann devoted her life to serving God, her family and others. She will be deeply missed.
