On Saturday, Aug. 12, writer and musician Sean Dietrich joins us at the Shelby County Arts Council for a special evening of storytelling about life in the South.

Dietrich has quite the following for his columns, Sean of the South.

Dietrich

Each column is a perfectly crafted glimpse of life in the South.

The columns are not so much short stories as they are ordinary moments brought to life by Dietrich’s own unique perspective of the world.

Dietrich shares a new column every day on his blog.

His experiences are relatable to any reader who has lived or visited the South.

They feel more like stories told on the front porch than thoughts in a blog post.

His stories have a cathartic way of helping the reader relate to their world while discovering the goodness that is there.

Check out Dietrich’s columns on his website, Seandietrich.com, and see him live at the SCAC Black Box Theater on Aug. 12 at 7:30 p.m. Call the Shelby County Arts Council at 669-0044 for ticket availability.
