HOOVER – The Hoover City Council is looking to fill seven board of director positions on the Hoover Industrial Development Board.

The Hoover IDB is a non-profit public corporation authorized for economic development and improving the business climate through the issuance of tax-exempt bonds and by providing other incentives per Alabama law.

The Hoover city clerk will accept letters of interest and resumes beginning Thursday, Aug. 10.

Board members will be selected by the city council based upon the following areas of interest: utility industry; health care industry; technology sector; banking sector; and commercial, retail and/or industrial development sector.

Each applicant must designate one of the above areas of interest for which they are applying.

Letters of interest and resumes must be hand delivered no later than 5 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 24, to the clerk’s office at Hoover City Hall, located at 100 Municipal Lane in Hoover.

The city council is expected to make appointments at its Tuesday, Sept. 5, meeting.
