CHELSEA – Resident Cody Brasher recently launched the Chelsea Central Community Podcast, which highlights local happenings and people.

“I interview community leaders, small business owners, local organizations and everyday citizens who are doing something unique in the community,” Brasher said.

According to Brasher, the podcast will serve as a way to keep citizens in the loop as well as offer important information for new residents. He said he operates under the motto, “Listen. Learn. Connect.”

“I felt like there could be a need to spotlight the community, especially with Chelsea growing so quickly,” Brasher said. “I want people to be aware of local businesses, activities and events and to get to know their neighbors.”

Instead of any other medium, Brasher said he chose to do a podcast because it is convenient and allows people to listen while they are on the go.

“It’s very mobile. You can listen and work out at the gym,” Brasher said. “This is something people can hear and listen to while they’re doing other things.”

Chelsea Central Community Podcasts are free to the public and primarily sponsored by Rogue Pest Control, LLC.

Brasher said his goal is to do one podcast per week. Listeners can subscribe at Chelseacentral.com. The podcast is also available on iTunes, Google Play and Stitcher.
