Davis Dewey Culpepper, 68, of Jemison died Thursday, Aug. 17.

He was born on Tuesday, Sept. 21, 1948 in Mississippi, son of the late James Cody Culpepper and the late Marie Pearson Culpepper.

He was a rural letter carrier.

Surviving are his wife, Kathy Weeks Culpepper of Jemison; daughters, Kalee (Blake) Potts of Thorsby and Keva Culpepper of Montgomery; son, Koby (Heather) Culpepper of Calera; granddaughter, Eva Culpepper of Calera; brothers, Bryant Culpepper of Shelby and Jim (Susan) Culpepper of Montevallo.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Cody and Marie Culpepper; sister, Thylia Henderson; and brother, Billy Joe Culpepper.

Friends will be received from 5-7 p.m., Friday, Aug. 18 at Union Springs Baptist Church.

Services will be held Saturday, Aug. 19 at 11 a.m. at Union Springs Baptist with Rev. Evie Megginson officiating. Interment will follow in Union Springs Bapt. Church Cemetery, Randolph.
