NORTH SHELBY – The Oak Mountain Elementary School’s Parent‐Teacher Organization is hosting its 2017 Fall Fun Fest event on Saturday, October 14, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Cost is $13 for pre‐paid wristbands or $15 at the door.

The annual fundraiser will be held on the school grounds and will offer family‐friendly entertainment, food, activities and crafts.

Attendees can enjoy inflatable structures, seasonal crafts, face painting and other fun activities such as cake, candy and soda walks.

The Oak Mountain High School baseball team will be among the various community volunteers, and guests can enjoy taking advantage of a pumpkin patch and hay ride.

The event will also feature performances by the Blue Bird Choir and the OMES Little League cheer squad.

A variety of treats and healthy snacks will be available for purchase in addition to a special $7 Chik‐fil‐A lunch combo. Steel City Pops and Kona Ice will be on hand for tasty frozen treats.

Local vendors will be on site selling crafts and other items, and a local animal organization will offer pet adoptions.

The event will also feature college football games on large screen TVs thanks to Direct TV so that fans won’t have to miss out on watching game day events.

As the school’s largest annual fundraiser, the Fall Fun Festival also includes a silent auction that will feature the opportunity to view auction items online and make advance bidding.

All proceeds from the Fall Fun Fest go toward education improvements at Oak Mountain Elementary School.

Past funding has helped purchase playground equipment, a new awning and classroom supplies.
