CHELSEA–When the Helena Huskies and Chelsea Hornets meet on the football field for a key region game in late October, the game will mean more than the final tally on the scoreboard.

On Oct. 27, Helena and Chelsea will team up to host the annual “Pink Out Game” to support breast cancer research.

The game is at Chelsea High School and the Hornets will be honoring Ms. Liz Wilson, the former CHHS school secretary who passed away in June.

The schools are accepting T-shirt orders through Friday, Sept. 22, and all proceeds will go toward the Breast Cancer Research Foundation of Alabama.

The T-shirts are all pink with a front pocket. The back of the shirt features a Chelsea and Helena football helmet with a pink breast cancer ribbon with the motto, “Funding research, saving lives.”

The shirts are available in youth and adult sizes. The cotton T-shirts cost $15 while the dry fit material T-shirts cost $20.

For more information on the game and to order a T-shirt, visit Chelseabuzz.com or contact contact Frank Ritchie at fritchie@shelbyed.org.
