PELHAM – The First Baptist Church of Pelham is set to hold its annual Fall Festival on Sunday, Oct. 1, from 4 to 6 p.m. in the parking lot of Summer Classics Wholesale on Pelham Parkway. According to Senior Pastor Daven Watkins, the Fall Festival has been a church tradition for over three decades.

Watkins said the festival is free to the public and has a “carnival type atmosphere” with food trucks, rides and free candy. Visitors are welcome to wear costumes.

“It’s a fun and safe environment,” Watkins said. “It’s very family friendly and it’s economical.”

According to Watkins, the festival will serve as an outreach event for the community. Typically, Watkins said, the event draws in a sizable crowd each year.

“We want the community to know that we care about them, that the church is here for them and that Christ loves them,” Watkins said.
