Duo nabbed in pot, fentanyl bust

COLUMBIANA – A 35-year-old Alabaster man and a 49-year-old Alabaster woman are facing multiple drug-related charges after they were arrested in an Oct. 10 sting by the Shelby County Drug Enforcement Task Force.

The Task Force arrested Christopher Edward Osborn and Lisa Kelly Miller, both of who lists addresses on Peacock Drive in Alabaster, and charged them each with counts of first-degree possession of marijuana, unlawful possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.

The arrests came after Task Force members allegedly found the pair to be in possession of five grams of fentanyl, 920 grams of marijuana, assorted pipes and scales and multiple firearms. Theft charges are pending for five of the firearms found in the suspects’ possession, according to the Task Force.

According to the Task Force, less than 2 milligrams of fentanyl is fatal.

Osborn was released from the Shelby County Jail on bonds totaling $11,000 the day after he was arrested. As of Oct. 12, Miller was still being held in the jail on an $11,000 bond.
