Pelham library announces upcoming adult events

PELHAM – The Pelham Public Library recently announced a handful of events for adults that will kick off at the beginning of the new year.

Between January and February, the library will host four adult events, including Medicare seminars and two programs that would be great for those interested in taking up a new hobby.

Here is a list of upcoming adult events:

Understanding Medicare Seminar – Thursday, Jan. 18, 2018, 12-1 p.m.
Does Medicare confuse you? Get answers at this seminar provided by a Medicare advisor from Physicians Mutual.  The presentation simplifies complex issues such as the Medicare parts, enrolling and more.  Hundreds age into Medicare each month in this area. It is a complex and confusing process for most individuals. Climbing 101 Program – Saturday, Jan. 27, 2018, 2 p.m.
Rock climbing is a relatively young sport that is quickly growing in popularity all across the United States, and Birmingham is no exception. Our local area has many opportunities for climbers of all skill levels both inside and outside, so come find out what your local climbing community has to offer! Join local climbing guide David Smith at the Pelham Public Library at 2 pm on Saturday, January 27th for an overview of the fundamentals of rock climbing. Introduction to Alabama Birding – Monday, Feb. 26, 2018, 6:30 p.m.
Want to learn more about our state’s bird life, but don’t know where to start? Or are you a casual birder who wants to take it to the next level? Either way, our guest from Birmingham Audubon can give you the background you need to meet your birding goals.
