Edward D. Williams (Ed) age 80 of Alabaster passed away Sunday, Dec. 24, with his best friend and loving wife, Anita, and precious daughter, Paige, at his side.

Ed attended Woodlawn High School and served his country in the United States Army.

Ed was a passionate Alabama Football Fan and believed in one of Bear Bryant’s quotes, “Don’t talk too much. Don’t Pop Off. Don’t talk after the game until you cool off.”

Ed was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Willie Williams; brothers, Jim, Wayne and David (Bo) Williams; and sister, Eloise Stephens.

He is survived by his wife, Anita; daughter, Paige Williams Pearson; and his granddaughter, Addison, the light of his life; mother in law, Gwendolyn Mitchell; brother in law, Glenn Mitchell (Marie); and special long-time friend, Brenda Walters and a multitude of friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 28 at Rockco Funeral Home, Montevallo, with burial to follow in Montevallo Cemetery.
