L&N Railroad Switch Engines. The L&N yard could be a tempting place for an adventurous lad to catch a free ride. Bob Davidson, the son of Helena city father C.T., tried to swing a train here the morning of May 23, 1910, missed and was thrown forcibly to the road bed. The heel of his shoe was caught under the wheels and wrenched from his foot. Other than hurt pride and a few slag cuts, however, he survived.
