Charles Thomas Alverson, age 84, of Wilsonville, passed away Saturday, March 10.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Maggie Mae Alverson Muse; father, James Burke Alverson; step father, James David Muse; brothers, Alfred Alverson (Ruth), James Alverson, Marvin Muse, and Hurshel Muse; and sisters, Mae Kelley (WL), Opal Williams (Charles), and Emily Alverson.

He is survived by his wife, Marie Alverson; daughters, Shireen Coleman (Billy) and Stacy Brannon (William); brother, Leonard Alverson; sisters, Martha Averett (Deward) and Geralee Kelley; grandchildren, Wesley Coleman (Danielle), Ryan Coleman (Jessica), and Tim Garner (Shanda); and great grandchildren, Cade Coleman, Burke Coleman, Hudson Coleman, Hylan Marie Coleman, Carson Moon, Bryant Moon, and Griffin Garner.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 13 at 11 a.m., at Union the Church at Chelsea Park with Rev. Billy Coleman and Rev. Henry Prater officiating. Visitation will be Monday, March 12 at Curtis and Son Funeral Home Childersburg Chapel from 5-8 p.m. Burial will be in K Springs cemetery in Chelsea.
