CHELSEA – Family members of kindergarteners at Forest Oaks Elementary School were entertained by circus-themed musical, “Under the Big Top,” on the evening of Tuesday, March 13.

During the performance, students dressed up as animals, acrobats, lion tamers and other characters associated with circus acts and sang songs like “How Much Is That Doggy in the Window,” “The Bear Went Over the Mountain,” and “Five Little Monkeys.”

FOES music teacher Cindy Woodham said students and faculty teamed up to put on a very creative show that involved a lot of complex props and choreography.

“Even though it was hard work, it was well worth it,” Woodham said.

Woodham said students were able to choose the costumes they wore and the acts they participated in. She said it was hard to pick a favorite act because she enjoyed them all so much.

“Even though there were a lot of different acts, they were all so entertaining,” Woodham said.
