County HR hosting Community Resource Fair

COLUMBIANA – On Friday April 13, the Shelby County Department of Human Resources will host its Annual Community Resource Fair from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. From 11:30 to 12 p.m., guest speakers will highlight supports and treatments geared towards supporting the health and well-

being of children and adolescents. The fair will be held at the First Baptist Church of Columbiana located at 209 North Main Street.

The resource fair will feature a variety of vendors, including those who offer healthcare, legal aid, dental assistance, transportation, career centers, education, and substance abuse education

and treatment. Vendors who accept all forms of insurance and payments will be available, including those who accept Medicaid, All Kids and sliding scale payments.

The goal of the resource fair is to provide visibility and provide an awareness of the services available within the community to support family’s well-being and self-sufficiency.

This fair will benefit caregivers as well as professional service providers.

The mission of Alabama Department of Human Resources is to provide protection, well-being and self-sufficiency for children and adults.
