According to a recent ranking by College Consensus, the University of Montevallo is the fifth best college in the state of Alabama.

To achieve the most accurate results, College Consensus averaged data from respected college ranking publishers (U.S. News & World Report, Wallethub) and student-written reviews (Niche.com, Cappex.com).

UM has a combined College Consensus score of 63.8, with a publisher consensus of 56 and a student consensus of 71.5. All are above average scores in each ranking category.

“By design, Montevallo attracts the highest-performing high school graduates in Alabama, keeping its student body and classes small to build community, cooperation and collaboration,” reads College Consensus’ description of UM. “Montevallo is a unique institution, providing Alabama’s top students access to Alabama’s top public liberal arts education.”

This latest ranking adds to UM’s growing list of accolades. UM was recently designated as one of the safest college campuses in Alabama, and recognized for having some of the lowest student loan debt for students.
