Kevin Wayne to teach acting classes

The Shelby County Arts Council is excited to welcome Kevin Wayne as its newest instructor of acting.

This Alabama native has spent most of his life in the acting world. Wayne has worked on TV series and films such as Eastbound and Down, Sinkhole, Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Road Chip and The Magnificent Seven.

His most recent role is on the upcoming TBS show Miracle Workers starring Daniel Radcliffe and Steve Buscemi. Now Wayne prepares to share his acting skills and business know-how with rising stars.

The Kevin Wayne Acting Studio classes start on Monday, May 7. Kids classes (ages 7-17) will be from 4:30-6:30 p.m. and adult classes (ages 18 and up) are from 7-10 p.m.

The cost is $395 per student. This six-week class is for anyone who is serious about the acting business and wants to learn from a real working actor.

Students will learn how to improve their acting skills as well as key knowledge about the business side of the film industry.
