Michael Henry Carter, age 65, of Maylene, passed away Tuesday, May 15.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Bernice “B.P.” & Bertie Carter; and brother, Johnny Carter.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Bobbie Sue Carter; sons, Stephen Carter (Kristi) and Jason Carter; grandchildren, Kyler Carter, Emily Carter, Kaden Carter, and Callyn Carter; brother, Jackie Carter (Brenda); sisters, Rita Lowery (Richard), Lois Ivester (Roy), Margaret Carter, and Teresa Martin (Mike); as well as many family members, nieces and nephews, Community Baptist Church family and special friends.

His funeral service will be held Friday, May 18 at 1 p.m. at Community Baptist Church in Maylene, with visitation beginning at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Genry’s Gap Cemetery in Helena. Services are under the direction of Rockco Funeral Home (Montevallo).
