ALABASTER – The Alabaster City School system will be beginning its online registration process in early June, and is looking to have all students registered by the end of the summer, ACS recently announced.

ACS will email Snapcodes to all parents during the first week of June, which will allow parents to access the online portal to register their children. Parents are encouraged to ensure their child’s school has the correct email address on file.

Parents should then complete InfoSnap online registration, which will be open from June 4-Aug. 1. Parents will also be able to upload your proof of residence, pay fees, obtain parking pass (Thompson High School only), obtain locker (Thompson Middle School only) and put money in their child’s lunch account.

No paper registration packets will be offered, and all students must be registered online this summer. Parents may use any computer with internet access to register. Computers will be available Mondays-Thursdays from 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. and Fridays from 8 a.m.-noon at the ACS Central Office located at 1953 Municipal Way. Each school will also have computers available. Please contact the school for computer lab hours.

Parents must provide one of the following as proof of residence:

  • Utility bills (such as electric bill, water bill, gas bill or garbage bill). Letters from a utility company must provide a service address and the date service was established. Service requested letters will not be accepted. Bills must be dated within the past 30 days.
  • Current apartment/house lease (listing the occupants)
  • Monthly mortgage statement.

Those unable to provide a primary proof of residence must come to the Alabaster City School’s Central Office located at 1953 Municipal Way during the week of July 9 – July 14 to complete an affidavit. Office hours will be 8:30-11:30 a.m. or 1:30-4:30 p.m. from July 9-13 or from 1-3 p.m. on July 14.  The homeowner will need to attend the meeting and bring current proof of primary residence.

Those who prefer to pay in person or drop off proof of residence may do so at their child’s school office during regular office hours.

In late July/early August, parents will either receive a letter with their child’s teacher’s name or a password to obtain their child’s schedule via INOW. Those who have not received this information by Aug. 3 should contact their child’s school. Homeroom rosters will not be posted at schools and there will not be a schedule pick-up.

On Aug. 6, ACS will have a system-wide open house from 3:30-6 p.m. Parents may go to each of their children’s school and meet the teachers, drop off supplies, walk their schedule, etc.

For the upcoming school year, report cards for grades sixth-12th will be electronically available through INOW. Printed report cards will not be given unless parents opt out during the registration process.
