Funeral service for Charles Wendell Richey, age 77, was held Tuesday, June 19 at 1 p.m. at the Hepzibah Baptist Church. Interment followed at Macedonia North Cemetery in Vincent.

Mr. Richey passed away Sunday, June 17.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Faye Richey; parents, Olen and Jessie Richey; brothers, Donald, Dewey, Bobby, Larry, and Quinton; and sisters, Donice, Peggy, and Bernice.

He is survived by his son, Tony (Tammy) Richey; daughter, Kim Richey Johnson; grandchildren, Kirby Johnson (John) Welsh, Cooper (Breezy) Johnson, Emily Richey, and Hunter Richey; great-grandchildren, Boone Welsh, Raelee Beth Johnson, and Brae Welsh; brothers, Johnny (Amy) Richey, and Gary (Brenda) Richey; sister, Carolyn Richey (Jim) Bentley.

The family would like to thank Briggs Macon with Southern Care-New Beacon Hospice – Sylacauga for the special care of their father.
