HELENA–With roughly one month left of summer vacation, students will soon be back in the routine of studying and doing homework, but before that happens, study skills seminars will be held in Helena on various dates to help students get a head start.

The two-day seminars, which will be held at Lamb of God Church in Helena, will help students develop solid, strong study skills by covering a wide range of topics.

The two-day seminars are open to students in grades 6-12 where they will use assessments to discover their learning style and will leave with specific applications and strategies based on that style.

The cost of the seminar is $60 for one child and $50 for each sibling who also attends. Snacks or dinner will also be included.

Topics covered will include time management/planning, organization, note taking, handling distractions, anxiety, scanning and skimming, test taking, outlining and more. In-class exercises will also be included.
