When Becky Beall joined with videographer Phillip Pritchard and Video Visions to begin production of Pelham Living in 2016, she captured the attention of Pelham’s Facebook community. The mother of four Pelham High School graduates, a longtime Pelham resident, the host of a travel radio show and a veteran volunteer for community events and the wide array of activities her four children participated in, Beall’s own affinity for all things Pelham adds to the show’s appeal.

“With Pelham Living, we strive to share a sense of what’s going on with residents and visitors—from city-wide events to school functions, sporting events and extracurricular fun,” said Beall. With a monthly show, Beall is able to remind people what’s fun to do in Pelham during every season.

“We’re a video-based medium catering to the Facebook market and we boost the monthly video to the Pelham area specifically, “Beall said. “We have several thousand views per month and our numbers are growing!”

Looking for someone to share transitioning to high school tips for August’s Pelham Living, Beall’s emails found key administrators away and my attempts to recruit teachers found many enjoying the last days of summer also. Facing a deadline, Beall called me into service. While I enjoyed sharing some freshman transitioning tips, after transitioning four Beall children to PHS, Becky Beall could’ve given her own very sound freshman transition tips.

Each month, Pelham Living highlights Pelham businesses, revealing the unique vision of the owners and offering in-depth insights.

“We have lots of different options to advertise or sponsor,” Beall said. “And we really want to invite our Pelham businesses to get involved.”

On Facebook, find Pelham Living by Video Visions to watch monthly videos or send a message to connect with the program.

“My favorite part of doing the show is the interaction within the community,” Beall said. “Getting to know the people behind the businesses, the teachers, the coaches, the public servants and volunteers is the most fun!”

Look for the August edition of Pelham Living on Facebook soon.
