The Shelby County Drug Enforcement Task Force arrested Gregory Eugene Davis Jr., who lists an address on Maple Street in Alabaster, on Oct. 18 and charged him with the two crimes, which are both Class B felonies under Alabama law.

Davis’ charges came after he allegedly sold marijuana on two separate occasions earlier this year in Alabaster’s Camp Branch community.

According to his arrest warrants, Davis allegedly distributed 4.9 grams of marijuana on Camp Branch Road on Jan. 23, and again allegedly distributed 7.4 grams of marijuana at the same location on March 2.

Davis has been held in the Shelby County Jail on bonds totaling $20,000 since the day he was arrested, and is now set to appear in Shelby County Circuit Court on Nov. 1 for a preliminary hearing in front of Judge Daniel Crowson.
