Temperatures rising this week, plummeting Saturday night

Daytime high temperatures will rise steadily over the next several days before plummeting sharply on Saturday, according to the forecast from the National Weather Service near the Shelby County Airport.
Cold temperatures will persist on Monday and Tuesday before starting to rise on Wednesday. Monday will bring a high of about 42 degrees with a low of 33 degrees, and Tuesday will see a high of 48 degrees and a low of 33 degrees.
On a sunny Wednesday, temperatures will climb to 54 degrees during the day with a nighttime low of about 40 degrees.
Thursday will bring about a 60 percent chance of showers after noon, with a high of about 58 degrees, and Thursday night will see about a 50 percent chance of showers with a low of about 47 degrees.
Friday will begin to see some spring-like temperatures, with a high of about 63 degrees, and Friday night will see an about 40 percent chance of rain with a low around 49 degrees.
On Saturday, there will be an about 60 percent chance of rain and a high near 60 degrees, and Saturday night will see a 50 percent chance of showers with a low around 35 degrees.
Sunday will see a chilly high of only 42 degrees, and will bring a 20 percent chance of sho
