INDIAN SPRINGS – Our Lady of the Valley Catholic School will host a few events in the upcoming weeks for potential students and their families to see what makes OLV the “Best Private School in Shelby County,” as recently named in Shelby Living magazine.

Events include:

  • Kindergarten Open House, Feb. 10 from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Do you have a student who is entering kindergarten next year? We invite you to tour the school, enjoy some hors d’oeuvres, participate in hands-on children’s activities and even take in a uniform fashion show.

  • Shadow Day, Feb. 15 from 8 a.m. to noon. This event is for children of all faiths to experience a day-in-the-life at the award-winning school. Interested students will participate in a school-wide Mass, tour the school and attend classes with an OLV student.

Founded in 1984, Our Lady of the Valley Catholic School serves Pre-K through eighth-grade students in a Christ-centered learning environment that fosters academic excellence, positive moral development and community service. Located in the Indian Springs community, the private school is accredited through the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools and has twice been named a Blue Ribbon School by the U.S. Department of Education.

The school begins enrolling students at 3 years old, where they participate in specialty classes, including Spanish, music, art and computer lab. After school care is available to all students in 3K through eighth grade.
