Jared Lawrence Goggins, 35, of Montevallo, passed away at his home on Wednesday, March 27, of a heart attack.

Jared is survived by his parents, Jerry and Connie Goggins; his brother and sister-in-law, Connor Lee Goggins and Autumn Dawn (Spangle) Goggins; his grandmother, Nancy Walton Lawrence; his uncles, Taylor Walton Lawrence, Charlie (Freddie) Goggins, and Tim (Tabitha) Goggins; his aunts, Kathy Goggins, and Darlene (Ken “Beaver”) Mobley; his cousins, Amy, Beth, Mick, Ryan, West, Brittany, Alexus and Easton and all their wonderful children. Pallbearers include Sean Hoots, George Hall, Bruce Hyer, Rhea Broadhead, David Epperson, Dallas Downs, Dusty Downs and Pauley Oden.

Jared graduated from Montevallo High School in 2002, quarterbacked the JV football team and played second base for the Bulldog baseball team. Jared graduated from the University of Montevallo in 2006 with a degree in Political Science and a minor in Business.

Jared interned for Senator Richard Shelby in Washington D.C. in 2006, he was Manager of Oak Mountain State Park Campground Store, worked at Hibbetts Distribution Center and did landscaping work in his neighborhood.

Visitation for Jared was Sunday, March 31 from 4:30-7 p.m. There will be a graveside service held Monday, April 1 at 2 p.m. at Shelby Memory Gardens.
