Alabaster resident wins Pigeon Forge ‘Path To Fame’ semifinalist spot

Alabaster resident Emma Lovett won a semifinalist spot in the Pigeon Forge “Path To Fame” talent competition on Saturday, April 13. Lovett will compete against 13 other performers for the 2019 grand championship prize on June 22 in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee.

Lovett, 23, was one of six semifinalists selected from 30 Path To Fame contestants at WorkPlay in downtown Birmingham.

The Pigeon Forge Path To Fame talent competition grand champion will win a year of monthly consultations with the Nashville-based talent executive who discovered Grammy nominated artist Kelsea Ballerini. Also, the winner will receive a consultation with country artist Carly Pearce. Professional photography and videography session, media training and introductions to other entertainment industry executives complete the grand prize package which includes tools to help the winner advance their career.

“Birmingham brought out some incredibly talented performers on Saturday,” said Nashville entertainment executive John Alexander. “Our final stop nicely rounds out the Path To Fame finals on June 22 in Pigeon Forge.”

Home to a variety of musical productions and dinner shows, Pigeon Forge’s theatre community has helped launch the careers of Pearce, who performed at Dollywood theme park, “American Idol alum Janelle Arthur, Grand Ole Opry member Craig Morgan and soap star Eric Martsolf.

Lovett performed “Colors,” accompanying herself on guitar, to earn her semifinalist spot. She grew up singing in church and has been performing for the past three years. Her musical influencers span various genres.
