Roselle Elizabeth Browning, 88, of Goose Creek, South Carolina, formerly of Helena, and widow of Robert L. Browning, died Sunday, April 21.

Her graveside service will be held Saturday, May 4 in Mt. Pleasant Memorial Gardens, 1308 Mathis Ferry Road, Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, 29464 at 3 p.m. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Mount Pleasant Chapel.

Roselle was born Nov. 16, 1930 in Leeds, daughter of the late William Smitherman and the late Lucille Jackson Smitherman.

She graduated from Leeds High School in Leeds. Roselle was a member of Helena Baptist Church.

She is survived by two daughters, Jacqueline Susan Primm of Charleston, South Carolina, and Cynthia Browning Smith (William L. Smith, Jr.) of Scottsdale, Arizona; granddaughter, Meghan Wood (Christopher Kenton Wood) of Charleston, South Carolina; two grandsons, Austin Smith (Crista) of Denver, Colorado and Ryne Smith (Samantha) of Scottsdale, Arizona; and five great grandchildren, Ellington Rose Wood, Monroe Elisabeth Wood, Kayla Smith, Kennedy Smith and Wiley Smith.
