HELENA – Any child who enjoys being in the spotlight, likes to sing or perform, or just wants something fun to do this summer, will have an opportunity to learn about music and theater thanks to a five-day camp hosted by the Helena High School Theater Arts department.

For the third summer in a row, the Helena High School Choral and Theatre Departments will once again offer the Center Stage summer musical theatre camp July 15-19.

The camp will be open to any child that has completed kindergarten through fifth grade.

Campers will learn to sing and act 3-4 well known songs throughout the week along with staging recreation and they will receive a snack. On the final day of the camp, there will be a performance complete with costumes and props for family and friends.

The cost of the camp is $75 per camper and individuals will receive three hours of instruction each day from 8-11 a.m. in the Helena High School auditorium.

The camp will be directed by HHS Theater Director Jefferson Casey where campers will learn to sing and dance.

Those wishing to participate in the camp are encouraged to register by June 23 to ensure one receives a camp T-shirt. Registration will be accepted after June 23, but those campers may not receive a T-shirt.

When dropping off campers, parents park by the auditorium in the back of the school.

Each camper should come prepared each day by wearing gym shorts, tennis shoes and a T-shirt.

Checks should be made payable to Helena High School.
