Alabaster hosting Community College Conference softball championship

ALABASTER – Alabaster will host the 2019 Alabama Community College Conference Fast Pitch Softball Tournament May 3-5 at Veterans Park.
The site is a state-of-the-art complex complete with five fields with a seating capacity at each field of approximately 750, and a concession stand that will be open for the duration of the tournament.
The double elimination tournament begins on Friday, May 3. Games will begin at 10 a.m. on Friday and Saturday, and 11 a.m. on Sunday. The championship game on Sunday, May 5, at 1 p.m. will conclude the tournament.
“We are very happy to once again host this tournament. It is a great opportunity for our young resident softball players and fans to see softball competition at the next level right here in their community” said City of Alabaster Mayor, Marty Handlon. “We also welcome the many visitors this event brings into our city. They will surely see why we are proud to call Alabaster home. As always, our Parks and Recreation Staff will do an excellent job of ensuring a successful
event. And, I thank them for their dedication to the city. Welcome and best of luck to all the teams!”
Admission to the tournament is $10 per day, or $15 for a tournament pass.
Children 6 and younger, along with any youth baseball and softball players who wear their team jersey, will be admitted for free. All games will be played at Veterans Park located at 7305 Alabama 119 in Alabaster.
