MONTEVALLO – The public is invited to attend and participate in a discussion on May 30 about recycling issues in Montevallo.

The city is partnering with the David Mathews Center for Civic Life and the University of Montevallo Environmental Club to target problems with, and brainstorm potential solutions for, recycling in the community.

“This is an opportunity to fix the problem, with community input,” Mayor Hollie Cost said in a City Council meeting on May 13.

The forum is scheduled for Thursday, May 30, from 6-8 p.m. at the Rotunda at the American Village, located at 3727 Highway 119 South.

Food will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis for those who RSVP at mayorsoffice@cityofmontevallo.com.
