Doyce Armstrong, age 80, of Wilsonville, entered into his heavenly home on Saturday, June 29.

The visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Tuesday, July 2 at Bethel Baptist Church. The funeral service will follow at 11 a.m., at the church with Rev. Bill Jackson officiating. Burial will follow at Pinelawn Gardens. Bolton Funeral Home is directing.

Doyce was born to J.C. and Amy Armstrong on March 16, 1939. He attended Shelby County High School where he graduated in 1957. He worked for Kimberly Clark Corporation for 43 years until his retirement in 2001.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family. He served at Bethel Baptist Church as Chairman of the Deacons for 45 years.

He is preceded in death by his parents, JC and Amy Armstrong.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Ann Armstrong; son, Mark (Kelly) Armstrong of Wilsonville; daughters, Carol (Ken) Harrison of Columbiana and Allison (Luke) Campbell of Montevallo; six grandchildren, Jonathan Harrison, Jana Kelbie Armstrong Baker, Jaselyn Harrison Tidmore, Jennifer Harrison, Jill Harrison, Matthew Campbell; brother, Don Armstrong; and nephew, Shane Armstrong.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the general fund at Bethel Baptist Church, 55 Highway 49 Columbiana AL, 35051.
