Dorothy Pate, age 84, of Calera, passed away Monday, July 1.

The visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Friday, July 5 at Bolton Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Shelby Garden of Rest. Bolton Funeral Home is directing.

Mrs. Pate is preceded in death by her husband, John Howard Pate; and daughter, Sherry Pate Glass.

She is survived by her children, Janet Pate Minor and Deborah Pate Carden; grandson, John Edward Fuqua (Stephanie); numerous grandchildren; great grandchildren; and great great grandchildren.
