Elizabeth Ann Horton, age 69, of Columbiana, passed away peacefully at home and went home to her Lord and babies on Friday, July 5.

The visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. Tuesday, July 9 at Bolton Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with Bro. Jerry Sturm officiating. Burial will follow at Bay Springs Cemetery. Bolton Funeral Home is directing.

In the 1970s-1980s, Ann and her husband, Fred Horton, were self-employed in the Pulp Wood Industry. Ann received her welding certification and GED in 1985. She worked as a weaver at the Elastic Corporation of America (ECA) from 1972 until it closed in 2007.

Mrs. Horton is preceded in death by her children, Eugene Porter, Clivelon Horton, and LouAnn Horton; sister, Wendy Johnson; mother, Lois Carden (Pete); and father, Jesse Etress.

She is survived by children, Clifton Earl Horton and Mylana Motes (Joey); loved as Memaw to her grandchildren, Jessica Harrison (Jason), Trevor Motes (Katelyn), Cordale Jones (Karly), Sarah Horton Phillips, (Toler), Brooke Horton King (Chad), Kelsey Horton and Patrick Johnson; great grandchildren, Everett Harrison, Emily Phillips, Emma Horton, Ella Horton and Everly King; and siblings, Lou Frazier, Faye Hawkins (Glenn), Lavada Ellison (Donald), Robbie Willis (Perry) and Robert Etress (Kivie).

Her children would like to thank Comfort Care Hospice, especially Becky, RN and St. Vincent’s of Clanton for their exceptional care and support.
