Montevallo honored for on-campus and online offerings
FROM STAFF REPORTS
MONTEVALLO – The University of Montevallo has been named the top accredited higher education institution in the state for its mix of on-campus and online degree programs.
EDsmart.org recently released its list of the “Best online and on-campus colleges in Alabama,” and UM topped the rankings with a perfect overall score of 100. The score was based on performance across three National Center for Education Statistics categories: affordability, student satisfaction and student outcomes.
EDsmart praised UM for its small average class size for undergraduates, private-university feel and its mix of hybrid and fully online graduate degree programs.
“We are proud of this designation as Alabama’s top university for online and campus delivery of academic programs,” said UM President Dr. John W. Stewart III. “The world is changing, and we are meeting the needs of our students with valuable, creative and nimble delivery of courses in multiple modalities that are user-friendly and stimulating. Credit goes to our academic leadership and faculty, who keep Montevallo ever vibrant and relevant for the students we serve.”
