Glenda Pate, age 79, of Shelby, passed away Monday, Sept. 9.

The visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 11 at Bolton Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 12 at the First Baptist Church of Shelby with Bro. Joel Miller officiating. Burial will follow at Shelby Garden of Rest. Bolton Funeral Home is directing.

Mrs. Pate is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Edmond Pate; son, James Pate; three sisters; four brothers; and one granddaughter, Haley Pate.

She is survived by her children, Randy Pate (Lisa), David Pate (Misty), Ronny Pate, and Janet Howell; grandchildren, Stephen, Cherish, Tyler, Cole, Colt, Johnny, James, Heather, Josh, Hannah, Jacob, Joseph, Mattie, and Cody; great grandchildren, Braden, Collin, Waverly, Karter, Paten, Blake, Derek, Brandon, Aidan, Nadia, and Levi; brothers, Kenneth Martin (Brenda) and Larry Martin; and numerous nieces, nephews, and beloved pets.
