Helena Cumberland Presbyterian Church is gearing up for its 14th Craft Bazaar on Saturday, Nov. 16 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The church has held a bazaar twice a year, each spring and fall, for the past seven years and is expecting plenty of vendors for its November event.

Proceeds from booth rentals and food items sold at the event go toward the church’s benevolent fund, and in turn the church uses the funding to help members of the community who are in need.

“We’re able to give this money back to the community, and we do it because we’re able to help out with bills or Christmas, or they may be down to one car,” said event organizer Philicia Broadhead Danner.

If no one approaches the church with a need, Danner said, they are able find out about people through nonprofit organizations.

Vendor booths will feature handmade craft items, woodworking, independent consultants such as jewelry makers, nonprofit organizations and more. Danner is expecting between 30 and 50 vendors for the bazaar.

Other activities will include a kids’ area with a bouncy house, a photo area, food vendors and family fun.

“This year will have more of a Christmas feel to it, but it will still be a Fall Craft Bazaar,” Danner said.

Vendor spaces are available for $30 for an outdoor 12-by-12-foot space, or $35 if electricity is needed. Vendors must provide their own extension cord.
