Billy Bruce Dawkins, age 86 of Maylene, passed away Monday, Nov. 25 at home.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Jean Dawkins; son, Glenn Dawkins; father, Alvie Dawkins; mother, Wilma Dawkins; brothers, Charles Dawkins and Edwin Dawkins; and sisters, Doris Brown, Verla Mae Harrell, Betty Genry and Caroline Jones.

Living relatives are daughters, Vanessa Dawkins Reed and Letitia Dawkins; grandsons, Jason Parker and Duston Parker; brother, Donald Dawkins; sisters, Nell Nelson, Faye Grizzell and Linda Phillips; great grandsons, Carter Parker and Orin Parker; great granddaughters, Lillian Parker and Anaya Parker; and many nephews, nieces and friends.

Bruce’s services will be held at Hickory Hills Worship Center on Friday, Nov. 29. Visitation will be at 11 a.m., followed by a service at noon. Interment will be in Elliottsvillle Cemetery. Rev. Andy Cummins and David Peacock will be officiating.
