Mrs. Zemma Lowery Sproul died peacefully at her home in Calera on Sunday, Nov. 24, at the age of 94.

A visitation will be held Wednesday, Nov. 27 from 11 a.m. – noon at Rockco Funeral Home in Montevallo, with a graveside service following at 12:30 p.m. in Reynolds Cemetery.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Matthew Sproul; parents, Burney and Lena Lowery; sisters, Elizabeth Frost and Ione Horne; brother, Thomas Reid Lowery.

She is survived by her four children, Kenneth Sproul (Linda) of Huntsville, Sandra Robinson (Richard) of Auburn, Sharon Brakefield (Jack) of Calera, and Burney Sproul (Valerie) of Lawrenceville, Georgia. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren.

The family would like to thank the caregivers, Megan Shiers, Taylor Shiers, and Susan Becker for all the love, special care, and attention given to our mother over the last few years.
