Jerry Wayne Waldrop, age 75, passed away Saturday, Dec. 7, in his hometown of Vincent.

Born on May 23, 1944, to George and Laura “Bobbie” Waldrop, Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 47 years, Geraldine Conwill Waldrop, his beloved siblings Gloria Waldrop Waters and Garry Lane Waldrop, and cherished aunts, uncles, and grandparents.

Jerry is survived by his children, Lisa Waldrop Shattuck (Cooper) and Lawrence Lane Waldrop (Carrie); brother in law, the Honorable H.L. “Sonny” Conwill (Diane); nieces, Leslie Conwill Corts (Chris), Wendy Waters Burnette (Jesse), Dana Waldrop Fite (Tommy); and nephews, Jeffrey Lane Waldrop (Angie) and Jerry Scott Waters. Surviving grandchildren are Aneliese Jordan Waldrop and Conwill Alexander (Conner) Waldrop. He also leaves behind his devoted cousin, Diane Masters, uncle J.H. Masters, cousin, Krissie Jo Masters, and countless other loving family members and friends.

Family graveside services for Jerry Wayne Waldrop will be held at Vincent Cemetery on Tuesday, Dec. 10 at 11 a.m. with Bolton Funeral Home presiding.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to First Baptist Church Vincent in Vincent, or American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, Alabama Chapter.
