Dorothy Epperson Grissom, age 88, of Columbiana, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 17.

She was a member of Concord Baptist Church in Calera. Dorothy loved to square dance and work in her flower garden. She was a loving wife, devoted mother and a proud MaMa.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, James H. Epperson and James Grissom; two sons; two brothers; one grandchild and one great grandchild.

Dorothy is survived by her daughters, Anne Christine (Curtis) Wakefield and Linda (Larry) Bristow; her granddaughters, Tina, Angela, Charity, Daphne and Kristal; six great grandchildren; one great great granddaughter; her sisters, Ruth Lee, Shirley (Charles) Gates and Barbara (Carl) Dourgh; along with several nieces, nephews and extended loving family and friends.

Funeral service will be Friday, Dec. 20 at 11 a.m. at Bolton Funeral Home with burial following at Pine Lawn Garden. Rev. Roland Foster will be officiating the service. The family will receive friends Friday from 10 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
