FROM STAFF REPORTS

Chloe Pruett of Calera was among the inductees to Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society at Jefferson State Community College’s Shelby-Hoover Campus on Dec. 15.

The Society is comprised of more than 1,285 chapters at community, technical and junior colleges in all 50 of the United States and is considered the more prestigious honor society serving two-year colleges.

Phi Theta Kappa’s mission is two-fold—to recognize and encourage the academic achievement of two-year college students and to provide opportunities for individual growth and development through participation in honors, leadership, service and fellowship programming. A chapter consists of a faculty advisor, officers and members.

Pruett is the daughter of Sherri Pruett of Calera and the late Charles M. Pruett, III. Her family is extremely proud of her and her accomplishment.
