Joseph Clifton Rotenberry (Mack), of Alabaster, went to be with the Lord Friday, Jan. 10 at age 87.

J.C. was born in Thomas Mill, Bibb County, Alabama. He spent two years in the army from 1953-1955. He enjoyed working for Liberty National for 30 years. He worked hard to retire at age 55 so he and his wife, Juanita, could travel-which he so enjoyed.

He loved his family and loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. He was a friend to all who knew him.

Married for 61 years, he is survived by his wife Juanita Fowler Rotenberry.

He is also survived by his daughter, Glenda (Jeff) Harris of Huntsville; his son, Wendell (Shannon) Rotenberry of Alabaster; and his grandchildren, Joseph and Michael Harris of Huntsville, Suzannah (Will) Streets of Alabaster, Rebekah Rotenberry, Elijah Rotenberry, Zachary, and Antonio Rotenberry of Alabaster.

He is also survived by a brother, Glenn Rotenberry of Pinson; and sisters, Martha Carrol and Kimberly Linamen of Helena, and Mildred Taylor and Benny Russell of Brierfield.

He was preceded in death by brothers, Preston and Charles Rotenberry, and sister Jimmie Hammonds.

Visitation was at Rocko Funeral Home in Montevallo on Saturday, Jan. 11 for family at 5 p.m., friends from 6-8 p.m., with the funeral held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 12. Burial in Montevallo Cemetery.
