SHELBY – Registration is open for a women’s conference happening at South Shelby Baptist Church in mid-March.

For the sixth straight year, the church will host the Women of the Word (WOW) Conference, a multifaceted event featuring various speakers and live music.

The theme of this year’s conference is “Thirst,” based on Psalm 63:1, committee leader Wanda Pate said.

“Basically, we want women to come, and that someone that’s broken will get victory, and someone that’s not saved will become a child of God,” Pate said. “We’re trying to reach as many women as possible.”

The conference will start on the evening of Friday, March 13, with speaker Margaret Feinberg, a published author and Bible teacher from Utah.

Tori Parris will provide Friday night’s music.

On Saturday, March 14, Feinberg, Ashley Hallford and Ellie Littleton will speak. The SSBC Praise Team will lead Saturday’s music.

Local radio professional Jill Friday will be in attendance, too.

The cost is $40 and includes a Chick-fil-A lunch on Saturday.

Registration is required and can be completed at Southshelbybaptist.com/wow.
