With severe weather expected over night and into the morning of Thursday, Feb. 6, several local school systems are operating on a delayed start.

Shelby County Schools, Pelham City Schools and Alabaster City Schools have all announced they will all run on two-hour delays.

Buses will operate on a two-hour delay schedule as well and breakfast will not be served. All school systems are asking that you monitor the weather and check social media again in the morning to make sure there have been no more updates.
